Here's a side-by-side comparison of traditional cardboard pizza boxes to ours!
Comparisons
——
Our pizza box and a traditional pizza box experimental visual comparison!
TRADITIONAL
Design
Traditional cardboard is composed of three layers of kraft paper, one of which is corrugated (with ridges and grooves), enabling stacking and shock-absorbency.

Holes on the sides of the boxes facilitate constant airflow, preventing the pizza from becoming soggy due to the steam.
Structural Integrity
The weather (i.e. rain) can undermine its structural integrity. The box is subject to deformities, and cardboard boxes cannot hold heavy items.
Recyclability
Corrugated cardboard can’t be recycled if it is contaminated with grease—can't be separated in the pulping process—and generally unappealing for reuse.
NEW
Design
Octagonal shaped for compatibility with a bioplastic film inside the box to prevent grease contamination.
Structural Integrity
The octagonal box with multiple ridged edges allows the box to maintain
its shape. The layering of cardboard in the folds increases durability and structural integrity.
Recyclability
The box can be reused: its chic design is appealing for reuse. Cardboard safeguarded from grease can be properly recycled, and the bioplastic film can be scraped off and reused; moreover, the film is edible.
